Digital Business Models

teaching assistant at ETH Zurich for courses about digital business model innovation

For the third time, I am a teaching assistant of a course offered by Prof. Elgar Fleisch at ETH Zurich. In the course, we teach approx. 120 students from various disciplines how to develop and implement digital business models and manage digital transformation (check out this video about the course). This means that the students study changes in customer dynamics, product offerings, value chains, and business processes across different sectors. They learn about digital business model patterns, like freemium, subscription models, and X-as-a-service models, alongside theories on transaction costs, network economics, and technology management. Further, the course covers strategies for adapting to these changes by examining business model innovation, different implementation routes, and positioning within evolving market landscapes.
